Terms of Service

In booking a trip with Odyssey Paragliding, the Participant (you) is seen to confirm the following:

Terms and conditions

  1. You are a current Club Pilot (or above) rated paraglider pilot and a current member of the BHPA (or equivalent).

  2. Your place on a trip is only confirmed once we have received payment and sent an email confirming that you have a space on the trip. Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

  3. You are in suitable health and fitness to engage in the activity of Paragliding. You agree to make Odyssey Paragliding aware of any personal medical or physical conditions that may put you at an increased risk of injury or death before the start of an Odyssey Paragliding trip.

  4. You agree to refrain from drinking alcohol for 10 hours prior to engaging in paragliding activities and you agree to refrain from taking any illegal or performance inhibiting drug for the duration of the trip.

  5. You have suitable comprehensive Accident Insurance cover for the duration of the trip, including full repatriation cover, helicopter search & rescue and medical treatment.

  6. Odyssey Paragliding reserves the right to capture photos and footage of any participant on their trips and use this content, with or without the individuals name, for training, safety or publicity.

Acknowledgement of risk

  1. You are fully aware that paragliding is a high risk sport with inherent risks and dangers including death and serious injury. You know and understand the extent, nature and scope of the risks involved in the activities contemplated by this agreement. You voluntarily choose to incur any and all such risks and dangers.

  2. You fully and forever discharge and release Odyssey Paragliding, its owners, instructors, directors, equipment manufacturers and land owners used for paragliding activities from any and all liability, demands, claims, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising from any damages both in law and equity in any way resulting from incidents or property damages sustained by you arising at any point throughout the trip (while on the ground or in flight). Exemption from liability includes damage, injury or loss through no fault of Odyssey Paragliding or any other cause or causes.

  3. You agree for yourself, your heirs, executors, administrators or assigns to indemnify Odyssey Paragliding, its owners, instructors, directors, equipment manufacturers or assigns, from any and all claims, actions, losses or proceedings of any kind which may be initiated by you or any other organisation or person. This includes reimbursement of all reasonable council fees and legal costs incurred by you or Odyssey Paragliding, its owners, instructors, directors, equipment manufacturers or assigns, and indemnified parties, or any of them, for the defence of an incident where Odyssey Paragliding has not acted negligently which may hereafter arise directly or indirectly from your activities while engaged in an Odyssey Paragliding trip.

  4. All acknowledgement of risk statements continue in full force and effect at all times, and shall be binding upon executors, heirs, administrators or assigns of you or your estate.
